Job Description: Four County Mental Health Center is a growing organization dedicated to providing accessible, innovative services. We are seeking a medical director of psychiatry. The medical director is a licensed psychiatrist who provides medical supervision and direction to mental health and substance abuse personnel and services, provides medical care and psychiatric care in various clinical settings and performs other work as required.

Responsibilities/Duties: Provide direction and supervision to clinical staff. Directs the admission and discharge of patients in the center. Assist in the evaluation of effectiveness of clinical staff and programs. Provides direct medical care and supervision to patients. Maintains accurate and timely clinical documentation of all clients in compliance with Federal, State, and Four County guidelines. Assist in all utilization review and quality assurance procedures. Provides consultation to Four County staff and community agencies and resources as needed. Completes any other administrative requirements necessary that can only be provided by a physician. Exhibit and promote decisions / behavior consistent with the Center's established Vision, Mission, and Values.

Job Requirements:

• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Kansas Certified eligible for the American College of Neurology and Psychiatry

• Medicaid and Medicare eligible provider

• Dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, and compliance with agency's liability carrier's requirements may be required depending on job assignment

• Communicate positively and effectively with others

• Basic proficiency in math

• Effective utilization of basic office technology

• Read, write, and speak English fluently
