Senior Medical Practitioner position available in Perth, Western Australia

Hello. I am assisting a major mental health service in Perth, Western Australia recruit a Senior Medical Practitioner - Addictions.

• Metropolitan Perth location.
• Purpose built, first class facilities.
• Package up to AUD350k + visa and permanent residency support.

A Senior Medical Practitioner works as a senior member of the multidisciplinary team providing skilled assessments and ongoing management to clients with mental health disorders in an inpatient and outpatient setting. You are responsible for the orientation, education and supervision of any medical or non-medical staff. 

Applicants from the UK may be working in similar roles as senior Specialty Doctors or Associate Specialists/Consultants. 

Job scope:

• Clinical.
• Administrative.
• Education and teaching. 
• Clinical governance.

Selection criteria includes but is not limited to:

• Eligible for registration as a medical practitioner with the medical board of Australia. 
• Demonstrated knowledge , experience and clinical skills in the practice area of addictions and substance use - either from mental health or medicine - including assessment, formulation and management. 
• First class verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills - having worked in a mdt. 
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development. 

Applicants from UK who completed medical degree in a non English speaking university must have PLAB.
