ChangeLab Solutions seeks a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who is a lawyer with significant experience in social justice, public interest law, or government practice. Since 1997, ChangeLab Solutions has worked across the nation to advance equitable laws and policies that make communities healthier places to live for everyone. We believe that effective laws and policies related to clean air and water, housing, transportation, education land use, food justice, violence prevention, and civil rights are the most powerful tools to improve community health and address inequalities. We have the largest library in the nation of model laws and policies to improve community health.
ChangeLab Solutions has an interdisciplinary 60-person team of lawyers, public health specialists, planners, policy analysts, and more. We work closely with community leadership to provide neighborhoods, cities, and states with the tools, technical assistance, and evidence-based research they need to scale-up and advance meaningful change.
We have a dynamic national Board of Directors and an annual budget of approximately $10 million. Our funders and partners include major national philanthropies, advocacy organizations, hospital systems, universities, and federal, state, and local government health agencies.
The new CEO will have the opportunity to
- Advance national leadership that builds the field of law and policy in creating health equity.
- Leverage existing tools and strategies from ChangeLab Solutions’ portfolio to address emerging community health challenges.
- Grow and diversify the organization’s funding base through new and innovative partnerships and secure the funding base that sustains ChangeLab Solutions into the future.
- Enhance ChangeLab Solutions’ work at the federal, state and local level by expanding its reach across an ecosystem of partners and funders.
- Strengthen the organization’s internal infrastructure to support ongoing excellence.
- Partner with the Board to optimize and leverage its existing talents while identifying opportunities for continued development.
