Position Summary:
CADCA is seeking a dedicated Youth Tobacco Prevention Program Manager, with a passion for cultivating youth leadership and advocacy within commercial tobacco prevention. This role is integral to the growth and success of CADCA's youth-focused initiatives, especially the "Take Back Your 10" (TB10) program, designed to empower young leaders to confront the challenges posed by commercial tobacco and its industry.
Specific Duties:
- Pioneer the development and refinement of CADCA’s youth commercial tobacco prevention advocacy programs, which equips youth with the skills and knowledge needed to be effective advocates against commercial tobacco.
- Foster an environment that encourages youth leadership and active participation in the development and implementation of youth tobacco-prevention program goals and objectives.
- Responsible for the management of grants and cooperative agreements, including developing and implementing work plans, budgets, and progress reports.
- Lead the management and growth of the TB10 program in Maryland, including organizing advocacy-focused summits and meetings for TB10 youth members, supporting, and mentoring the TB10 youth advisory council, and collaborating with youth leaders to enhance the TB10 brand and its outreach.
- Work with subject matter experts and youth and adult trainers to offer training and technical assistance to youth and adult tobacco prevention advocates, volunteers, partners, and staff.
