About the post

Sangath is seeking to appoint a dynamic individual with a vision and passion to lead a multidisciplinary team as the Executive Director, overseeing its governance, and implementing a long-term strategy towards sustainable growth and contribution to the community. The post holder will work with the Managing Committee (comprising 7 honorary representatives of the General Body) and the Senior Management Team (comprising senior staff) to realize the vision of the organization.

The job will be based at the Goa headquarters but the post-holder will be expected to travel to the Hubs about once every quarter. This role will provide enormous learning potential and unmatched exposure to an exciting field of social innovation.

The job responsibility includes;

Develop and implement strategic plans to map Sangath’s future work Represent Sangath and networking with different levels of stakeholders Establish collaboration with key players to scale up Sangath work

Lead the development and implementation of effective management systems

Lead the preparation of funding proposals to support Sangath’s work

Supervise and build capacity of the central admin and finance team

Serve as an ex-officio member of the managing committee and permanent member of the senior management team

Report regularly to the Chairperson and managing committee

Criteria for selection

Masters/PhD degree in Social Work /Health/Psychology/Public Health/Management Leadership experience, preferably in management of an NGO
Oral and written communication skills
Experience in research in one or more of the thematic areas

Experience in fund-raising for research and/or implementation Experience in leading collaborations with diverse partners

Remuneration

Commensurate with eligibility, experience and Sangath policies
