There are immediate openings for Therapist at Cornerstone of Recovery.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Help provide and maintain a therapeutic community for clients.
- Maintain training requirements as defined by Cornerstone Policy, the Joint Commission and TN State Licensure.
- Maintain patient safety at all times. Monitor and assess patients for suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Complete CSSRS, personal safety plan and risk assessment as warranted.
- Coordinate weekly or biweekly treatment team meetings with program staff.
- Assist in formulating a diagnostic summary identifying special issues, problems and co-morbidity through review of assessments.
- Initiate the referral process as needed based on the need for psychiatric services, specialty groups and address special needs related to referral contact.
- Develop treatment plans and treatment summaries weekly and or biweekly based on diagnostic summary findings.
- Individual therapy weekly (residential) or biweekly (IOP) based on individual need to address treatment progress, review of treatment plan, and psychological issues.
- Conduct Individual and family therapy weekly and or biweekly. Schedule patient and family for family fundamentals weekend.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate assigned groups per week including specialty groups DBT, Anxiety Management, Anger Management, Pain management, Mindfulness and Accudetox, veterans, Wings, Impaired Professionals, and Group therapy.
- Coordinate weekly or biweekly referral source contact and update and discharge conferences.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal skills
- The ability to work effectively with others from various backgrounds
- Must have a good clinical and assessment knowledge in the field of addictions and psychiatric disorders.
- Comprehensive understanding of the 12 steps of recovery and the ability to implement it into the treatment process of our patients
- Comprehensive understanding of Schema Therapy and the ability to implement it into the treatment of our patients
- Must be able to work a minimum of 4 days per month (one Saturday and/or Sunday per month), in order to sustain PRN Status
Education:
- Masters in Psychology, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related field.
