The UNODC Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa (ROMENA) internship is for two (2) months with an opportunity for extension to a maximum of six (6) months, pending on the needs of the department.
The aim of the internship is to provide the selected candidate with hands on experience in the United Nations. The candidate will gain research skills as well as apply this research and drafting skills on the core components of the project: crime prevention and criminal justice The selected candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to both the planning of, and participation in, workshops held with counterparts to tackle the project’s core components, leading to a deeper understanding of how UNODC is working to promote criminal justice as well as end violence against women across the region.
The internship is UNPAID and full-time.
Interns work five days per week (35.5 hours) under the direct supervision of the Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Expert, and the overall supervision of the Regional Representative.
