Roles & Responsibilities
- Empower consumers to resolve current issues and develop strategies for the future.
- Be a model for a healthy, trusting relationship through clear communication and setting appropriate boundaries.
- Acknowledge consumer strengths, talents and gifts and encourage them to find ways to use them.
- Be an active listener and offer support and encouragement.
- Engage in activities outside of the home to help expose consumers to new opportunities and experiences.
- Involve and advise family members when appropriate.
- Maintain thorough records of consumer sessions and progress.
- Attend supervision with a Trailways Clinical Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to build rapport quickly.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to communicate with compassion and empathy.
- Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
- Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work, criminal justice, human services, or closely related field. Associate’s Degree or life experience may also be considered in place of a Bachelor's Degree.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance.
- Completed background check.

This position is a part-time to full-time contract staff position (1099).
