In collaboration with Uganda Youth Development Link (UYDEL) with funding from Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) conducted a training of community members in building coalitions to promote and reduce drug use in Uganda.
The coalition model emphasizes the power of community coalitions to prevent substance misuse through collaborative community efforts. We believe that prevention of substance use and misuse before it starts is the most effective and cost-efficient way to reduce substance use and its associated costs.
The training convened the four community coalition to share insights, and collaborate on innovative strategies to drive lasting and impactful community change
Currently Uganda has four community coalition in Nansana, Matugga (Wakiso district) and Kalerwe and Bwaise (Kampala district).
