About the webinar: This presentation will review recovery supports in addition to medication that can be considered as part of the treatment plan for young people with an opioid use disorder. These treatment components include: family involvement, school-based recovery programs, and mutual help groups.

Educational objectives: At the conclusion of this activity participants should be able to: 

  • Identify family-based interventions for adolescents with substance use disorders;
  • Describe school-based recovery programs for young people with substance use disorders;
  • Describe the research regarding participation in mutual help groups among young people with substance use disorders.
