With more states than ever legalizing medical and recreational marijuana, as well as the proliferation of other substance use including prescription opioids and stimulants, many employers are confused as to how to recognize the signs and symptoms of impairment. Additionally, some states that have legalized marijuana have also restricted employers’ ability to drug test for it.
Hear from drug testing expert Dr. Donna Smith on identifying and documenting the signs and symptoms of substance use and the use of various drug testing methods and from Program Supervisor Kathy Strain of Drug Free Workplace Pennsylvania (DFWPA) who will discuss employers’ best practices and options for next steps.
