The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction's Issues of Substance 2021: A Virtual Experience

The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction invites you to attend CCSA’s Issues of Substance 2021 conference. The conference takes place November 23–25, 2021, as part of National Addictions Awareness Week.

CCSA’s Issues of Substance 2021 is Canada’s only national conference to bring together a wide range of people from across the country who hold valuable perspectives on substance use issues; healthcare professionals, harm reduction workers, counselors, researchers, policy makers, knowledge brokers and those with direct or indirect lived or living experience with substance use or a substance use disorder all with the common goal of learning from each others’ knowledge and experience. We are pleased to be partnering again this year with the Mental Health Commission of Canada as the National Partner for this event to dedicate one of the half-days of the conference to mental health and substance use.

This virtual event, which will occur over three consecutive half days, provides a secure and open environment to share diverse perspectives, valuable experiences, new research and best and promising practices. It will also provide opportunities to network with others and participate in workshops related to substance use and addiction, prevention, harm reduction, treatment, recovery and mental health.

CCSA is once again pleased and honoured to have the Mental Health Commission of Canada as a national partner for our event. As part of their involvement, there will be a focus on the interconnection between mental health and substance use in the conference program.
