2021 Theme: Social Justice and Action in Tobacco and Nicotine Science
The world’s leading annual forum discussing the future of the tobacco and nicotine industries is going virtual this September for the first time in its 13-year history. Take part in four days of stimulating debates on shaping the industries’ futures with delegates from all over the world.
During adolescence, the brain regions such as prefrontal cortex necessary for cognitive and executive function, working memory, motivated behaviour and emotional regulation are being reorganized. Cholinergic system and cholinergic nicotinic receptors are important role players in this maturation process of the brain from adolescence to adulthood.
This is a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) module and Knowledge Exchange Workshop currently hosted by the University of Stirling on behalf of SPECTRUM. It is convened by Dr Allison Ford and has been successfully delivered for over ten years at various of our partner Universities throughout the UK.
On 12-14th September 2019, the 19th SRNT Europe conference will be held in Oslo, Norway.
The conference will be centred around the theme of ‘Tobacco use in clinical practice and populations’, and will cover the great breadth of tobacco and nicotine research in the following topics:
· Pre-clinical/basic science
· Clinical
E-cigarettes are now the most commonly used form of tobacco among youth in the US. As traditional cigarette use among youth has declined, e-cigarette use has steadily increased.
