Lessdrugs is an project supported by the EIT Health initiative. Bringing together Imperial College London, Leyden Academy on Vitality and Ageing and the University of Copenhagen the pilot project implements microlearning to explore choices about prescription drug use in older people.
The approach, microlearning, "is a promising innovative education technique utilising small "nuggets" of information that consist of short movies, infographics, quizzes, polls or slides."
The information can be communicated through social media and can then be evaluated using shares and likes. Through using this approach it is hoped that people will evaluate their lifestyle versus the pills they might take leading to a reduction on the reliance of medication.
