Implementation of Opioid Substitution Therapy in South Africa

South Africa opioid substitution therapy HIV AIDS

You are invited to attend an upcoming webinar meeting aiming to discuss the role of the government agencies in the design and implementation of the HIV interventions among people who use drugs, particularly opioid substitution therapy (OST), in South Africa.

The meeting will be held on 10 May 2022 from 10:00-11:30 SAST in virtual format, hosted by UNODC in partnership with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and WHO. Click here to view the final meeting agenda which contains the join link.

The goal of the meeting is to create a forum for decision makers to examine valuable experiences on how to establish and implement evidence-based and human rights-based policies that ensure access to effective HIV programmes for people who use drugs, with a particular focus on scaling up and expanding access to OST.
