International Conference on Prevention: Addictions and Other Problematic Behaviors

On October 17 and 18, 2019 the International conference on prevention: addictions and other problematic behaviors will be held at the Faculty of Nursing, Physiotherapy and Podiatry, University of Sevilla in Spain.

The main objetives are:

  • To develop a forum and an exchange of ideas among socio-sanitary professionals in the area of prevention and control of use and abuse of drugs and other addictive stimulants.
  • To disseminate and present research related to prevention and the control of use and abuse of substance and other addictive stimulants.
  • Increase the importance and the need to investigate about the prevention and control of the use and abuse of substances and other addictives with the participation of researchers, professionals, undergraduate and postgraduate students, and other interested persons .

This year we will have the participation of Carmel Clancy President-elect of International Nurses Society on Addiction. She will accompany us with her Opening Ceremony: "Fallin Down-Problem Substance Use in Later Life: Lessons from a MOOC".

We will also have the participation of David Foxcroft, Professor of Community Psychology and Public Health at Oxford Brookes University. He will accompany us with his Closing Ceremony: "Evidence on International Prevention Workforce Competencies and Training Need"

During the Conference Gualberto Buela Casal Professor of Psychological Evaluation at the University of Granada will accompany us with his workshop: "Keys to scientific publications with an impact on prevention".

Conference will also have various workshops and different symposiums.

Dates and venue: October 17 and 18. Faculty of Nursing, Physiotherapy and Podiatry

Abstract submission period is open until September 15.

The participation can be also virtual.
