This course was a good reinforcement of the mechanisms of the brain regarding substance use, as well as societal implications and solutions or strategies to address addiction. I am excited to connect with others and establish an even more firm foundation for my understanding of substance use disorders!

A great initiative to prepare the FORCE to fight the continuously growing ratio of every age individual into SUDs especially among youngsters which has developed serious concerns in Academia, Clinicians, Parents, Organisations and community as it has a huge cost.
For treatment to be effective, family and environmental forces have great impact to the wellbeing of the patient. SUD Professionals must take into consideration that the contributions of the family and care givers are very paramount to the recovery of the patient.
Treatment needs to be rendered first to parents, we can not expect children to be sober minded whilst the parents are under influence of substances. The emotional state or well- being of children is broken, they have used substances as a coping mechanism due of family circumstances or dysfunctional families.
